Swiss boutique brand Artya pays tribute to American Halloween with its latest unique piece from the Son of a Gun line called Black Widow. Like the other watches in this range, it is powered by a movement that has been machine-skeletonized – though this time, the magical, fully visible (thanks to the absence of a dial) skeletonization creepily designed to look like a giant spider web houses a scary metal monster: a large black spider. Housed in a 44 mm stainless steel case, this automatic-winding unique piece is available for 6,400 Swiss francs.

This is not the first time Artya director and artistic designer Yvan and Dominique Cielka-Arpa have designed a creepy timepiece for Halloween, though: back in 2017 the duo released a guitar-shaped mechanical tribute to the world of rock and roll, whose impressive case was shaped like a guitar. And it harbored more than “just” the time shown by gold “string” hands – it also used genuine blood as a decorative element.
