​The AMR-02, ArtyA’s latest proprietary caliber in the Luminity collection, embodies the present and future of the Geneva-based Manufacture.
Now available under a sapphire dial for full visibility from every angle, it will soon power many of the brand’s future signature timepieces.
As the first exclusive development featuring this technology, the AMR-02 sets a new standard as ArtyA’s benchmark automatic movement.​​

​A micro-rotor made from tungsten for enhanced efficiency.

An ultra-thin caliber with a total slimness of just 3.6 mm.
​
A power reserve of 3 days-plus – a guaranteed a guaranteed 82 hours of chronometric performance, thanks to twin barrels working in parallel – each fitted with longer, finer springs that unwind more smoothly to provide a steadier, more linear flow of energy.
The setup increases torque to an impressive 730 gr.mm, ensuring consistent, long-lasting power.
To reduce friction, the blade is finely polished for optimal efficiency.
Subtly engraved with the name of the Manufacture and the caliber itself, this discreet signature enhances the movement’s architecture with a note of quiet distinction. ​​​
The Wavy Case: Two Materials, One Elegant Identity​
The iconic 40 mm Wavy case is a natural fit for this new in-house caliber. Its fluid contours are now offered in two distinct materials: sapphire and Grade 5 titanium.​​
Grade 5 Titanium
​
A lightweight yet extremely robust material that embodies modernity and innovation – combining exceptional comfort with uncompromising strength.
​
Its matte finish is achieved through full sandblasting.
​
A transparent DLC coating enhances resistance to scratches, shocks, and fingerprints. For comparison: steel has a Vickers hardness of 200, titanium 400, and DLC-coated titanium reaches 1,200 Vickers (1,800 for the black DLC version).
​
A subtle polished flank adds a refined, precious touch without compromising the watch’s bold, forward-thinking aesthetic. Achieving this level of finish on titanium is particularly complex, and the result creates a striking contrast with the matte sandblasted surface.​

Sapphire
​
Exceptionally resistant to scratches thanks to its extreme hardness – rated 9 on the Mohs scale (around 1800 Vickers), sapphire is the third hardest mineral after diamond and moissanite.
​
Its transparency enhances the case’s flowing contours, creating a constant play of light and reflection.
​
Each case is hand-polished to achieve perfect clarity.
​
Crafting such a sculptural design in sapphire demands exceptional mastery and high-precision expertise.​
Designed by Jérémie Arpa, son of ArtyA founder Yvan Arpa, this intricate case captures the spirit of an independent, family-run, and self-financed watchmaking enterprise. Its fluid, organic silhouette evokes the powerful and perpetual movement of ocean waves.

The Dial – A Dialogue Between Transparency and Texture​
To celebrate the movement’s technical sophistication, ArtyA offers two complementary approaches to dial design:​

To fully appreciate the new caliber, the initial references are fitted with dials crafted from pure sapphire, tinted sapphire, or Chameleon NanoSapphire. Accented with brushed and diamond-cut hour markers, the dial maintains excellent legibility through its minimalist design.
Stone Dial
Adopting a more artistic approach, several models feature a central dial element crafted from natural stone – either aventurine or meteorite. Each variation pays tribute to the enduring bond between watchmaking and art, resulting in unique, character-rich pieces that still offer a clear view of the AMR-02’s exclusive finishing.
