ArtyA Genève Pledges its Support to
The Philippe & Elisabeth Dufour Foundation
ArtyA presents the foundation with an extraordinary timepiece personally selected by Philippe Dufour : Curvy Purity Tourbillon Ruby.
A manufacture tourbillon caliber, a ruby-red sapphire case – a unique piece (1/1).

The standard-bearer of the Purity manufacture collection, the Curvy Tourbillon represents
the pinnacle of ArtyA’s skeletonization mastery. Engineered to integrate seamlessly into a
tonneau case with a crown at 12 o’clock, this one-off creation epitomizes the creative
audacity that defines the Geneva maison.

The Curvy Purity Tourbillon Caliber
This high-complication movement is the third developed by the independent brand. Designed to fit the tonneau form to perfection, it now appears in its most accomplished iteration, showcasing outstanding finishes:

-
All bridges are frosted with cast-iron microbeads and meticulously
beveled by hand.

-
Two barrels operate in parallel, each fitted with longer, slimmer springs for optimal unwinding and
steady torque, ensuring stable, linear energy transmission. The polished blade minimizes friction, while the newly curved design of the barrel drums flows seamlessly with the movement’s prominent bridges.

-
An 18 mm flying tourbillon beating at 4 Hz—a frequency notably higher than that of most tourbillons—delivers maximum chronometric stability.
Positioned at 6 o’clock, this mechanical marvel offers an ideal vantage point to admire its mesmerizing rotation.

-
Traditional fine adjustment: The fixed-stud tourbillon is regulated using a time-honored approach reserved for haute horlogerie. The balance wheel’s inertia is precisely adjusted via peripheral weights, resulting in perfectly regular hairspring oscillation and sustained long-term chronometric precision over time.

Curvy Ruby Case: The Alchemy of Savoir-Faire
Building on years of experience and pioneering material innovation, ArtyA once again pushes the boundaries of contemporary watchmaking with a case that is both sophisticated and distinctive.

-
Radiant Ruby Sapphire Crystal: Sharing the same chemical composition as natural ruby, this extraordinary material proudly showcases the Geneva maison’s signature vermilion hue.

-
Where Hardness Meets Hue: Retaining all the characteristics of clear sapphire crystal, this case offers the material’s legendary hardness (9 on the Mohs scale) while adding striking chromatic depth and elegance.

-
Spectacular Luminescence: Under UV light, the ruby-red hue becomes vividly incandescent—an intrinsic property of ruby that lends the watch a mysterious aura.

-
Harmonious Design: With its balanced proportions (38.5 x 43 mm), the case, designed by Jérémie Arpa, son of Yvan Arpa, beautifully reflects ArtyA’s intergenerational transmission of savoir-faire and bold vision for the future.

Philippe and Elisabeth Dufour shared: “We all come from somewhere, we all have a story, and we can all be bearers of hope. Beyond differences in color, culture, belief, and ethnicity, we all suffer in the face of adversity. Suffering knows no boundaries, and neither does poverty.
In the face of these hardships, we are all equals. We do not claim to save the entire world, but together, we can make a difference. May tears be transformed into optimism with our selfless help, and may every heart, where boundless kindness resides, remind us of our shared humanity.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to the watchmaking community that supports our cause and shares our values for this second charity auction, as well as to Phillips in Association with Bacs & Russo and their entire team. With them, we are confident that the spirit of solidarity will continue to thrive.”
The watches can be viewed online and at Phillips in Association with Bacs & Russo in Geneva in the weeks leading up to the sale, which will take place on May 10, 2025, at the Hôtel President in Geneva.
